While normalizing our stress response, adaptogens like ashwagandha and tulsi featured in our Simmer Down Tonic support a positive mood and leave us feeling patient, centered, all while supporting a calm, relaxed state of mind that helps to support our resistance to occasional stress, tension, and irritability.*

DIY Adaptogenic Hot Cocoa
(makes two servings)
- 2 tbsp. cacao powder
- 2 tbsp. maca powder
- 2 tsp. Urban Moonshine Simmer Down Tonic
- 2 cups almond/ oat or coconut milk
- 2 tsp. maple syrup.
- 1 tsp rose water
- A large dollop of whipped cream.
- Chopped dark chocolate or cacao powder for dusting.
Warm the milk on the stovetop. Transfer to a blender and add the powders, rosewater, maple syrup, and Simmer Down Tonic and blend on high for 1 minute.
Serve hot and top with whipped cream and a dusting of chopped dark chocolate or cacao powder.
- 3 tablespoons soaked cashews. Makes it extra creamy and they blend well when soaked.
- Replace maple syrup with a Medjool date, pitted before blending.
